कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन।
मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भूर्मा ते सङ्गोऽस्त्वकर्मणि॥
karmaṇy evādhikāras te mā phaleṣu kadācana
mā karma-phala-hetur bhūr mā te saṅgo 'stv akarmaṇi

कर्म करने में तेरा अधिकार है, फल में कभी नहीं। तू फल का कारण भी मत बन; अकर्म में भी तेरा मोह न हो।
Translation · English
You have a right to the act itself, never to the fruits of the act. Do not be motivated by the fruit, nor be attached to inaction.
