ॐ भूर्भुवः स्वः ।
तत्सवितुर्वरेण्यं ।
भर्गो देवस्य धीमहि ।
धियो यो नः प्रचोदयात् ॥
oṃ bhūr bhuvaḥ svaḥ · tat savitur vareṇyaṃ · bhargo devasya dhīmahi · dhiyo yo naḥ pracodayāt

अर्थPada-by-pada
tat savitur vareṇyaṃ
तत् सवितुर्वरेण्यं
May we receive the radiant — the supreme effulgence of Savitṛ.
bhargo devasya dhīmahi
भर्गो देवस्य धीमहि
We meditate on the divine effulgence — the light of the Self.
dhiyo yo naḥ pracodayāt
धियो यो नः प्रचोदयात्
May it illumine our minds.
How to sit with it
