Letter from the editor

Why DhyanHQ exists, and what we are not

A short statement of what this project is — and what it deliberately is not. The tradition does not need us; we needed the tradition.

W

e did not build this because the tradition needed a new front door. The tradition has been fine for three thousand years. We built it because a generation of Indians who grew up on Western frames of self-care are looking for something slower, older, and more honest — and could not easily find it online. That is all this is. A quiet room, built in service of what was already there.
